This last Saturday (May 20, 2017), “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury passed the one year mark with the NWA Western States Heavyweight Championship.
Currently, he has the third longest individual reign of any champion in Vendetta Pro Wrestling history, trailing only Sean Casey’s 372 day run as the first ever Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Champion, and Little Cholo’s 484 day reign as Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Champion.
With a win this past Friday at Melee 2017, Luxury will have surpassed Sean Casey by Summer Sizzle 2017 for the second-longest title reign in Vendetta Pro history.
In addition, depending on the accuracy of records, it is believed that Rik Luxury has become the second-longest reigning Western States Heavyweight Champion–any version–of all-time for a single reign (not all records agree with each other), while having already surpassed all ten recorded reigns of Terry Funk (350 days total) combined.
Congratulations to “The King of California”.
