NWA Vendetta Pro: 2017 Casino Royale Cup Winners, new Tag Champs

Casino Royale 2017 at the Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion has concluded with the winners of the Cauliflower Alley Cup, Luna Vachon Memorial Lunacy Cup, and new NWA International Tag Team Champions!

First, “Fallen Flower” Kikyo won the Luna Vachon Memorial Women’s Invitational to claim the 2017 Lunacy Cup. Kikyo overcame 2016 winner Tab Jackson, former NWA International Tag Champ Holidead, Allie Parker, Mazzerati and Violet Payne to capture the Cup.

On night two, three-time former NWA National Heavyweight Champion “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony picked up two big wins. First, Anthony won the 30-man Second Chance Battle Royal, allowing him the right to challenge night one’s Casino Royale match winner and 2013 Cauliflower Alley Cup winner Sinn Bodhi. Then, in the main event of the evening, Anthony picked up the win over Bodhi to claim the 2017 Cauliflower Alley Cup. With this win, Anthony joins Johnny Devine as only the second competitor to win the Cauliflower Alley Cup after winning the Second Chance Battle Royal in the same evening. Devine accomplished the feat last year.

The big news of night two came early on in the evening, as Richie Slade and Billy Blade–collectively known as the Midnight Delight, along with Sean Casey–defeated Shane and Shannon Ballard to become the new NWA International Tag Team Champions! The Midnight Delight earned the right to challenge for the titles after winning two consecutive Number One Contenders matches earlier in the year, first defeating J.D. Horror and Sledge–Creepshow–then later defeating former NWA Western States Tag Team Champions Buddy Royal and Levi Shapiro–The Classic Connection–following the International Tag titles being held up by NWA Director of Operations James Beard. The victory is important not only for The Midnight Delight, but for Vendetta Pro Wrestling as a whole as the titles are now no longer under the direct control of The Conglomerate.

The night wasn’t a total loss for The Conglomerate, as “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury successfully defended the NWA Western States Heavyweight Championship in what was surprisingly made into a Tri-Force match. In addition to the scheduled challenger, Human Tornado, NWA Ambassador “The Voice” Donovan Troi added former NWA International Television Champion Willie Mack into the contest.

Speaking of Tri-Force matches, former Conglomerate initiate Vintage Dragon successfully defended the NWA International Tri-Force Championship against former Tri-Force titleholder “California Black Sheep” Mike Rayne and Wise Guy.
