New NWA Vendetta Pro Champion, Ruffin wins California Cup

This last Friday night, November 18, 2016, NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling held their Final Conflict of 2016 at the Radisson Hotel Santa Maria (a.k.a. “Radisson Square Garden”).

The major stories of the night include “Apostle” Judah Mathew defeating SoCal Crazy to become the new NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, ending SoCal Crazy’s 266 day run as Undisputed Champion, 315 since first winning the Interim Heavyweight title from Rik Luxury. However, Mathew didn’t win it all on his own. While Vendetta Pro Commissioner Joseph Duncan was attempting to take away his loaded bible (which in fact contains a steel toolbox) that he planned to use, this merely served to distract the referee as Shane and Shannon Ballard ran in. Shane Ballard ran interference, but was quickly dispatched. This, however, left Shannon enough time to pick up the Heavyweight title belt and strike SoCal Crazy with it. The “Apostle” then turned and nailed SoCal Crazy with a wicked Sitout Powerbomb to score the win and his first Vendetta Pro Wrestling Heavyweight title.

In addition, “The Last Temptation” Ricky Ruffin won the Fourth-Annual Battle Royal for the Roland Alexander Memorial California Cup!

In other news, The Ballard Brothers (Shane & Shannon Ballard) defeated the teams of The Midnight Delight (Richie Slade & Billy Blade) and Creepshow (J.D. Horror & Sledge) to claim the #1 Contender spot for the NWA Western States Tag Team Championship held by The Twisted Sisterz (Holidead & Thunder Rosa) who are currently competing  in Japan with World Wonder Ring Stardom but who will be returning the the U.S. in time for Vendetta Pro’s “Reflexion” event on January 6, 2017.

Plus, “The Game Changer” Greg Hernandez successfully defended the NWA Tri-Force Championship against “Warpig” Jody Kristofferson and Vintage Dragon.

In addition, “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury successfully defended the NWA Western States Heavyweight Championship in a rematch against “The Real Deal” Will “The Thrill” Roberts. Roberts was granted the rematch due to the outside interference with the referee by Luxury’s manager/lawyer “The Voice” Donovan Troi at September To Remember VII. This time, Troi was barred from ringside. However, during the contest, an old lady sitting front row attacked Roberts with her walker, severely injuring his right shoulder in the process. Luxury took advantage of the situation, and scored the win to retain his title. Immediately, Vendetta Pro Commissioner Joseph Duncan came out to confront the “old lady” who turned out to be Donovan Troi in disguise. Because of this blatant disregard for the stipulation of the match, Donovan Troi has been fired from NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling!

NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling’s next event, “Reflexion”, will be on January 6, 2017 at the Radisson Hotel Santa Maria.

Information will be available very soon via their Facebook Page and on Twitter, while online ticket sales will begin soon via Brown Paper Tickets at www.vendettaprowrestling.com.
